We are excited to offer our first ever scholarship opportunity, open to Juniors and Amateurs alike for the 2024 competition season. A total of 2 scholarships will be granted, each offering $500 to be used towards show fees at any RCEE show in 2024. All application materials are due by April 1, 2024. Applications and related materials can be emailed to [email protected].
This scholarship is co-founded by the partners of RCEE alongside local Amateur rider, Krysten Cholewinski. Many of you know Krysten as one of our talented and organized back-gate coordinators. Inspired by the impact receiving a top ten CDP Foundation scholarship had on her, Krysten co-founded the RCEE scholarship fund dedicated to supporting aspiring equestrians in their pursuit of horse shows. This initiative thrives on funds generated through working at the RCEE shows, reflecting Krysten’s commitment to giving back to the community that played a pivotal role in her own journey.
The scholarship, designed to alleviate financial barriers, not only provides support for participants but also incorporates a volunteer component. Recipients are required to contribute by volunteering at a 2024 RCEE horse show or a horse-related non-profit, fostering a sense of community. In this way, the scholarship fund aims to cultivate a spirit of gratitude and shared responsibility within the equestrian world, creating a positive cycle that echoes the support Krysten once received.
